Keeping your press-ons prestine

You’ve invested in looking fabulous; now let’s make sure those press-ons last. A little common sense goes a long way.

  • Watch the Wet & Wild: Try to keep your nails from extended exposure to water, oils (yes, even hand cream!), and alcohol-based sanitizers, especially in those first few hours after application. It helps the adhesive really set.
  • Nails Aren’t Tools: Resist the urge to use your nails for opening cans, prying things, or scraping. They’re for looking good, not for heavy lifting. Treat them like the delicate masterpieces they are.
  • Gentle Hair Care: When washing your hair, be mindful. A scalp brush can be a real lifesaver here, preventing snags and keeping your nails intact.
  • Glove Up for Chores: Doing dishes or tackling household cleaning? Pop on some gloves. Harsh chemicals are the enemy of nail adhesive and can also damage your press-ons.
  • If It Feels Loose, Fix It: Should a nail start to feel a bit wobbly, don’t wait. Re-apply adhesive immediately to prevent loss or damage to your natural nail.
  • No UV Gel Glue: Just a quick note: don’t use UV gel glue with these. Uncured gel can cause skin irritation, and frankly, it’s just not necessary.
